Our Mission
The Inclusive Denver Movement creates opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities to connect, work, and thrive in the Mile High City. Through community outings, job skill development, and opportunities to participate in career interests, we empower individuals to build friendships and live meaningful lives.
The Journey Ahead
Phase 1: Inclusive Entertainmet
With $200,000 we can officially launch. We will provide enriching community outings for teens and adults with disabilities. Funds will cover a Sprinter van for safe transportation, insurance, tickets to sporting and music events, and program coordination. This will ensure participants enjoy meaningful experiences together and within the community.
Phase 4: Inclusive Auto Detailing & Services
Building on student interest in the automotive industry, we will launch Inclusive Auto Detailing & Services. This enterprise will provide hands-on training in car care and maintenance while generating revenue to support our mission. Participants will gain transferable skills in customer service, teamwork, and technical work in a supportive environment that values precision and pride.
Phase 2: Inclusive Storage and Moving Solutions
With $750,000, we will launch our first enterprise: Inclusive Storage & Moving Solutions. This phase includes a moving truck, equipment, insurance, and a temporary leased facility to serve as our base of operations. Here, teens and adults with disabilities will gain real-world job training through storage unit clean-outs, resale operations, and simple moving services.
If full funding is not immediately available, we will begin from our founder’s garage as a proof-of-concept—demonstrating our commitment, creativity, and ability to operate lean while building momentum toward a permanent home.
Phase 5:
Responding to the strong interest students expressed in food service careers, we will establish a community-focused food enterprise. This may include a café, catering service, or similar operation, designed to provide training in food preparation, hospitality, and business operations. This program will empower participants to build confidence, develop employable skills, and contribute meaningfully to the community.
Phase 3 - Permanent Headquarters
With $4,000,000, we will secure a permanent, fully accessible headquarters in Denver—our “forever home.” This facility will bring all Inclusive Denver Movement programs under one roof and create space for future enterprises and as well as community gatherings.
A permanent headquarters will ensure long-term stability. This space will create a hub where participants, families, and the broader community can connect. Designed around accessibility and inclusion, our headquarters will stand as a model for what true community integration can look like in the Mile High City.
The Bigger Vision
The Inclusive Denver Movement is more than a collection of programs — it’s about building a true community hub where inclusion happens every day. Our future headquarters will bring all phases together under one roof. Imagine a space where program participants are working in auto services or food enterprises, while neighbors stop in for a meal or a car detail. Families can gather in the café, and young adults can connect over games, music, and conversation in welcoming lounge areas.
Every phase is rooted in what students themselves have consistently expressed through career interest surveys and inventories. Many students identified interests in food services, automotive trades, retail environments, and jobs that are hands-on and involve movement. That’s why Inclusive Storage & Moving Solutions is such an important piece: it combines the physical, movement-based work of cleanouts with the retail skills of sorting and selling goods. Items recovered from storage units will either be resold to generate revenue that sustains IDM or donated directly to participants and their families to meet immediate needs.
By building programs around these interests, we’re not only creating meaningful job training but also ensuring participants are developing skills that match both their passions and real opportunities in the broader workforce.
This model will show what authentic community integration looks like in the Mile High City — people of all abilities learning, working, and thriving side by side.
